My ex-wife originally had the car when we exchanged vows. I, at the time, had a 1990 Plymouth Laser.
I ended up selling my Laser to a friend...in turn, my ex-wife and I purchased a brand new Isuzu Rodeo.
Take a wild guess at who obtained the Rodeo for daily use. No problem though...."Blue" was a dependable
car.
Well, great things never last and my better half and I divorced. Luckily, I was able to keep "Blue" as
my car. Eventually I realized that I needed a newer vehicle and upon that realization I bought my RED 1998
Dodge Ram Extended Cab Truck ("Clifford"). With the new vehicle in my life, I no longer needed "Blue".
A co-worker....we'll call him "Wise Guy", mentioned to me that his son needed a car. I sold him "Blue" for $750.00.
I thought that was a fair price. Little did I know how much "Blue" was really worth. An unfortunate accident
occurred with "Blue". "Wise-Guy Jr" was hit on the rear passenger quarter panel by a LARGE truck. "Blue" was
so damaged that you couldn't fit a gas nozzle into the tank opening. For this reason, coupled with the fact
that the wheel was destroyed...the car sat under a tree for several months.
"Wise-Guy" was now at a stage in his life at which he needed to move out of his house. He said I could have
the car back if I found a wheel for "Blue" and got it out of his yard. So I did. Now I have this really
beat up car with one shiny wheel sitting in my driveway. At this point I still only considered this
an old Toyota Corolla GT-S....nothing more....nothing less. I just happened to stumble upon a website
about the 84-87 GT-S's and suddenly I had a new admiration for "Blue".
Thus "Project Blue" begins.
